raise your hand if you’ve shopped at eloquii. i went to a holiday event sponsored by the plus size brand that’s made by the limited last year, and i was sort of into the pieces that they had. i understood that it was likely they would have things in the future that i would really be into. then, tuxedo-style pants with a pinstripe down the side started to hit stores, and i also really liked the look of longer sweaters, but neither of those things was being done particularly well in plus size. then, eloquii had a HUGE, hyuh-uge sale around black friday / cyber monday. so i decided it was time to take the plunge and order some THANGS at a big discount. (check their website for current codes to get discounts as high as 60% off some items!) this is the story of what i ordered – what worked, what didn’t, and what i hope for the future at eloquii by the limited.

I love dresses like this fit & flare printed dress from Simply Be because it’s so easy to wear no matter the season or the occasion. You don’t have to do much once you get on it on to be ready to run out the door. The print is totally inspired and different from anything else I’ve seen available in plus size, as well. My least favorite of all the colors. Not just the Fall 2012 Pantone colors. But of all the colors, this shade of purple is up there with my least favorite. I’ve never been very big on pastels, and I kind of find them to be puny, but I suppose there are people out there that like them and look good in them … I’m just not one of them. Okay that’s not totally true, I like pastels when they’re in the details, but I just can’t get used to the idea of myself in pastel all over. That’s all.
Anyway, if pastels are totally your thing, then you’re in luck! Because Rhapsody Lilac Purple is one of the colors that’s officially a part of the 2012 Pantone Colors for Fall. There are some plus size retailers who are using this shade of purple as the main color – not just an accent. In this post, I’m giving you the best of plus size “rhapsody.”

i’ve noticed that a lot of people are visiting xoxo nettaP looking for plus size rompers and jumpsuits. i can totally understand why – they can be so chic, and they’re so easy to throw on, combine with accessories and just go!
so, i thought i’d do a little post with my favorite rompers and jumpsuits that i’ve been eyeing out there. give a shout out in the comments below if you’re here looking for a romper or jumpsuit!
i’m going tubing this weekend, which means it was time to break out the swimsuits! my favorite one at the moment is from torrid, and it’s a high-waisted bikini bottom that i’m pairing with an older halter bikini polka dot top that i’ve had for awhile. my current faves for what’s out there? check out the mini shop below! do you love any of these styles? have you seen any swimsuits out there that you want me to try out? what are the issues that you find when shopping for a plus size swimsuit? i hate that there aren’t a LOT of bikini options out there for us that makes sense. like … who really looks good in those side-tie bikinis that hit just above the crotch line? high-waist or get out for me! → read more

who am i? petey pab motha … oops @nettaP. southern with a side of city: hush puppies and leather jackets.
i love to talk, first of all. which is why i write the content on this blog. i process the world through words and laughter. my second love is probably technology because it brings laughter and discussion and connection. and my third love is the pursuit of becoming a stronger individual while respecting my strong need for justice.
i'm learning to be myself faithfully and to trust myself with confidence.
i write a lot about being fat and feelings. i also write a lot about food and fitness. and i also write about fashion because it can be hard to clothe yourself appropriately at every hour of your life.
