Labor Day Sales: JC Penney

I have always loved JC Penney. I grew up shopping there, I have found some of the best deals there, and I’ve got a ton of pieces from Penney’s that people always ask, “OMG Where did you get that?!” immediately upon spying my outfit. I have a theory, and I think the reason this happens is because a. a lot of people don’t even bother going into Penney’s b. they have a serious issue with rack appeal c. someone else should be dressing their mannequins. See what I scored in-store for the Labor Day Sale.

12 Days of Christmas: Day 6

ah yes, day 6 of the 12 days of christmas here on xoxonettaP, and we’ve arrived at the beauty and makeup portion of our shopping event. speaking of makeup and beauty, have you visited the xoxonettaP beauty and makeup shop? it’s right here (and it’s totally calling your name. you can’t hear it? maybe you should click the link and then you’ll hear your name as clear as a bell!).

makeup and beauty products are often the perfect gift to get someone who you know really well, know sort of well, or don’t know at all. you just have to look at their faces, usually, to see what kind of makeup they wear (if any at all), and you can give them a good sniff next time you see them to be able to tell what sort of scents they might be into. my all-time favorite, from my teenage-hood set of beauty products is from lush. now, when i started using lush products, they were still only available in london, but i went away to study abroad one semester and fell in love with bath bombs, handmade beauty products, and roses in everything. they make the PERFECT stocking stuffer items, and also great secret santa gifts. what are my favorites?

bath bombs.

the sex bath bomb was, naturally, one of the first lush bath bombs i tried. i mean, come on, i was 19, i wanted to be sexy, and i certainly wanted to SMELL like i knew what sexy was. whether or not jasmine is really sexy, i don’t know, but look at how sexy the bomb looks. ok, don’t look too closely. but don’t you just want to lean into your screen and sniff it?

the rose queen is exactly what it sounds like. full of roses and fit for a queen. the thought of rose petals appearing in my bathtub after a bath is more than enough of a sales pitch to talk me into spending $5.

phoenix rising is exactly what the sparkle doctor ordered. it’s one of lush’s newer bath bombs, and i love the direction they’ve gone with it. it’s purple. ROYAL purple. fit for royalty. it’s dusted with gold glittery powder, sure to leave a kiss of sparkle on your skin, and it smells like spicy apples and cinnamon. YUM. sometimes i wish lush bath bombs were to eat and not just to soak in.

a lavender scented satchet is the perfect gift for just about any lady. first of all, nothing beats pulling out some new draws from your drawers and having them smell like the sweet scent of lavender. it makes getting dressed read more

Introducing The Beauty Shop

just in time for the holidays, (and yes guys, i know you’re out there looking for presents for the ladies in your life), i’m introducing a new shop to xoxonettaP that is all about beauty! it’s full of things that i use and love, items that i’ve heard are the bomb and would love to review, and things all the ladies in your life will love to get their hands on., Inc.

so let’s talk a little bit about one of my favorite stores while you’re here … sephora. i’m partial to the one in times square. the really big one across the street from the walgreens, you know the one? the people that work there are phenomenal, and the products they offer i’m almost never disappointed. so, let’s talk about some of my favorite things from sephora.

this is something they call the “makeup studio blockbuster,” and they bill it as having a value of over $440. it’s priced at $49.50. i have one of these, and let’s just say, i’m never wanting for a new look, makeup-wise.

now, i don’t talk about my mom around these parts too much because she’s not really a fashion or beauty fru-fru kind of girl. i think i must’ve taken all of that from her when i was born or something. anyway, she has one of these things. it’s the clarisonic skin cleansing system. and she’s in love with it. she got so excited to see that sephora carried it’s corresponding products that i almost thought someone had switched my mom out with someone else …

magnetic nails are supposed to be the next hot jimmy jawn. so, if you’re sick of sally hansen press-ons and crackle nails, then magnetic polish is the new game in town. what does it look like? here’s a peek and a little explanation from

and, just in case you’re a lady shopping for a gent (or a gent shopping for a gent), if he’s into fragrances, i’m loving this fragrance sampler that let’s him test out a whole host of different sniffs for the new year.

so, what’s it gonna be? see anything that tickles your fancy? and who are you having trouble shopping for out there? let me help you. i loooooove shopping for presents! i also want to hear about what your favorite things are from sephora.
